Are You Garbage kicks off its tour in Appleton
Six cities named in the announcement, with Appleton up first and no dates attached.
Are You Garbage is going back on the road. The podcast posted that the tour starts this week, with the first stop in Appleton. After that the account lists San Jose, San Diego, Tacoma, ATL and Philly.
That is the whole announcement. Six cities, one exclamation point per sentence, and no dates printed next to any of them. If you want to know which night your city gets, the post does not tell you.
What was actually posted
The wording is short enough to quote in full. "Tour starts this week! 1st stop Appleton!" is the opening line, then the run of cities. No venue names, no on sale information in the text itself.
Tour starts this week! 1st stop Appleton!
The spread is worth a second look. Appleton is the opener, then a West Coast cluster in San Jose, San Diego and Tacoma, then a jump to Atlanta and Philadelphia. That is not a tidy route, which suggests these are the stops the account wanted to flag rather than a full itinerary in order.
The real story
Are You Garbage has been doing the kind of guest episodes that travel well, including Sam Morril talking about bombing at a private gig in Corfu. A live run is the natural next move for a show whose whole format is two guys interrogating somebody about how they grew up, because the bit works in a room.
The practical takeaway for anyone in those six cities is simple. The tour is live this week, Appleton is first, and the rest of the information is going to have to come from the account's own links rather than from the announcement text.
If you are in San Jose, San Diego, Tacoma, Atlanta or Philadelphia, consider this the heads up and go check the posting for your date before the good seats are gone. That is all anyone has so far.
