Jeremiah Watkins says a bad breath joke aired by mistake
The Crazy Pizza director told Matt and Shane's Secret Podcast he checked whether they were rolling, and they were.
Jeremiah Watkins made a comment about another comic's bad breath, asked if the mics were off, and found out later that the whole thing went out anyway. He told the story on Matt and Shane's Secret Podcast Ep 637, titled Throat Wrecker, the show from Matt McCusker and Shane Gillis.
Watkins says he said "we're not recording, right?" before the remark. He was wrong. His fix was a bit of comic diplomacy, he brought the comic gum as a joke apology.
He never says who it was
The comic stays unnamed, which is the point. There is no feud here, no subtweet, no response. It is a guy describing the specific horror of a green room aside that turns out to be content, and then buying gum about it.
He came to plug Crazy Pizza
The reason Watkins was on at all is his new special. "it's called Crazy Pizza. Jeremiah Watkins Crazy Pizza. It's on my YouTube. I directed it. I edited it," he said. He asked viewers to leave a comment saying they came from Matt and Shane's Secret Podcast, which is the modern version of a hat pass.

He also handed out open invites. Watkins told McCusker and LeMaire Lee they can come on Stand Up on the Spot whenever they want, and the group talked about Stand Up on the Spot recordings filmed at Creek and Cave that are due out in a couple of weeks. McCusker and Lee recently shot one.
Road dates got read out too
McCusker ran through a long list of tour stops, including Royal Oak, Michigan, the Riverside Theater in Milwaukee, Charlotte, Jacksonville, Atlanta, Chattanooga, Fort Lauderdale, Tampa, Orlando, New York, New Jersey, Baltimore, Columbus, Cincinnati, San Diego and Sacramento. He called the Milwaukee date "this Saturday."
Lee had his own list. He announced Let's Fest on October 8th in Indianapolis, the Yummies festival in Marion, Illinois on October 10th, Creek and Cave, River City Comedy in Jacksonville, and Orlando.
So the episode does a lot of jobs at once. A special gets plugged, two calendars get read, and Watkins gets to workshop the safest possible version of an apology, which is telling the story again on a podcast that is definitely recording this time.
