Jim Norton says Anthony Cumia mocked his accomplishments

The promo for episode five is a complaint about the guest, which is probably the point.

Jim Norton announced that episode five is up, and the selling point he chose was that Anthony Cumia spends it going after him.

"@AnthonyCumia makes hurtful comments about my accomplishments," Norton posted, tagging Cumia and attaching links to the episode. That is the entire pitch. No setup, no context, no list of which accomplishments took the hit.

What Norton actually said

The post is two lines long. One line says episode five is out. The other line says his co-host insulted him on it. Norton does not say what Cumia said, when in the episode he said it, or whether he fired anything back. He also does not sound especially wounded about it, which is the part worth noting.

Read it as a bit

Nothing in the post suggests a real falling out. The word "hurtful" is doing comic work here, the same way any host flags the most quotable thing in an episode to get people to press play. Norton promoted the episode in the same breath as the complaint and linked it twice. If you were genuinely upset with someone, you would not usually point an audience at the recording of them doing it.

So treat this as marketing with a grin on it, not a feud. Until Norton or Cumia says otherwise in plain terms, the only confirmed fact is that episode five exists and that Norton wants you to hear Cumia take a run at his resume.

What we do not know

Everything else. The post gives no detail on the accomplishments in question, no indication of how long the exchange runs, and no response from Cumia. Anyone telling you this is a blowup is going further than the one tweet supports.

If you want the actual comments, they are in the episode. That was the whole idea.
