Comedy Store issues low ticket warning for Story Warz
Big Jay Oakerson and Luis J Gomez take the Main Room for two nights, and the club says seats are going.
The Comedy Store has put out a low ticket warning for Story Warz, the Main Room show where Big Jay Oakerson and Luis J Gomez go head to head. It runs two nights only, Wednesday 11/4 at 8pm and Thursday 11/5 at 8pm. The club flagged both dates in one post, with a separate ticket link for each night.
That is the only real update since the show was earlier announced for those two dates. The club's framing is short and blunt, a warning emoji and the words "Low ticket warning!" sitting between the two links. In Comedy Store terms that is the version of a sold out sign you get before the sign goes up.
Low ticket warning!
Two nights, two tickets
Worth reading the post carefully if you are buying. The Wednesday and Thursday shows are ticketed separately, so picking a night is a decision rather than a formality. The Comedy Store's post calls it "two nights only," which means there is no third chance later in the week.
The real story
Oakerson and Gomez are podcast partners on Legion of Skanks, so a head to head format is less a matchup than two guys who talk for a living being handed a stage and a scoreboard. The Main Room is the big room, not the Original Room or the Belly Room, and putting two Skanks hosts in it for two straight nights is the club betting that the podcast audience shows up in person. The low ticket warning suggests that bet is going fine.
Tickets for both nights are in the Comedy Store's post.
