Jeff Dye spent the night arguing that an AI edit of a man slapping Holly Rowe is absurd, not an endorsement, then posted a thesis statement about why he keeps wading in. Tim Dillon, meanwhile, needed exactly six words about AI.

Jeff Dye defends the Sark AI edit, then declares comedy is political
The edit, per the posts, shows Sark slapping sideline reporter Holly Rowe. Dye's argument: the joke is the absurdity of it, not approval of it, and people are pretending not to understand dark humor. His follow-up widened it out into a case for comics saying the thing everyone else at work cannot, wrongness and hypocrisy included.
Everyone is acting like they don’t understand dark humor and how things can be funny that we don’t agree with.
So at the risk of being wrong sometimes , being insensitive sometimes, being even hypocritical at times I’m out here doing my best.
