What GaS 30's actually is
A batch of half hour specials put out through GaS. Aaron Berg's Pro's and Con's of TRT was one of them, and Gomez flagged that Tuesday slot for it earlier. So Tuesday has been the standing release day for the run, and the finale lands in the same spot.
That is the part worth knowing if you have been half following along. The specials were not arriving whenever somebody felt like uploading. They were a season, with a schedule, and now a closer.
The real story
A comedy podcast company running its own half hour special series and then announcing a season finale is a network move. Gomez is not pitching a one off. He is telling you the slate is done, the whole thing held together, and he wants credit for the run rather than for any single episode in it. The line about being glad they got to do these reads like a man who knows this kind of thing does not always get finished.
Whether there is a second season is not something Gomez said. He said finale, he said Tuesday, and he stopped there. Anyone reading a renewal into the post is doing that on their own.
