What is actually there
Nothing is attached to it. Dye does not say who looked at him funny, what he is being doubted about, or whether this is about faith, a project, a bit, or a person in his replies. There is no screenshot, no quote tweet, no link. Anyone reading it is filling in the blank themselves, and that is almost certainly the point.
The line works either way you take it. Read straight, it is the Sunday school version, the guy building a boat in the sun while everybody laughs, right up until the weather agrees with him. Read as a comic move, it is the oldest shrug in stand up, which is that the people telling you that you are wrong right now are not the people you are building for.
The read
No target named means no fight, at least not one anyone can see yet. Dye has been in the faith conversation lately, including when he said mockery comes with the territory, as covered earlier. This post sits in the same neighborhood without pointing at anybody, which is a very efficient way to answer critics you never have to name.
It is also just a good structure for a joke. You get the comparison, you get the punch, and the punch is a weather report. Noah is doing a lot of lifting for one tweet.
What we cannot tell you is who annoyed him, because he did not say, and guessing would be making it up. If there is a follow up, it will be the part that actually explains the post. For now it is one sentence, floating, working fine on its own.
