Kill Tony is back. Brian Redban posted that Tony Hinchcliffe, Redban, the regulars and the band are doing a brand new episode at 8PM CST, with Yakov Smirnoff and Ari Matti as the special guests.
That is the whole announcement, and for this show that is enough. A new Kill Tony lands as news on its own, because the format only exists live, once, with whoever is in the guest chairs that night deciding how the hour goes.

Ari Matti is the kind of name the Kill Tony audience already knows how to place. Yakov Smirnoff is the one that makes people read the post twice. Two guests, two completely different reference points, sat next to Hinchcliffe while the bucket gets pulled.

That plainness is part of the appeal. Kill Tony does not need a hook beyond the fact that it is happening, because the show's whole promise is that nobody in the room knows what the minute is going to produce until it produces it. Guest bookings are the one variable announced in advance, and a lineup pairing Smirnoff with Ari Matti is a wider spread than usual.
