Luis J. Gomez says someone came at him on stage in Portland, Maine. He posted footage of it along with a ticket link, and in the same breath reminded everyone he had four more shows that weekend.
"I was attacked on stage tonight in Portland Maine. 4 more shows this weekend," he wrote, followed by the link. That is the whole statement. No explanation of who, no explanation of why, just video and a tour plug.

Then came the second angle
The next day Gomez was back with a different angle of the same moment. His caption this time was pure bit. "Different angle. Guys, I'm a survivor." That is a man who has already decided how this story is going to be told, and it is not going to be told as a scare.

He also posted that TMZ had reached out, which is the sort of thing a comic mentions when he finds it funny that TMZ reached out. He did not say whether he replied.
The replies turned into a grappling review
Once the footage was up, the comments section did what comedy comments sections do and started grading his technique. An account called grape chef replied, "Pathetic grappling tbh, expected way better." Gomez quoted a line back at the critics, "You're not a good grappler Luis," with more video attached.

That is a specific kind of heckle for Gomez. He has spent a lot of the last few weeks online talking about what he can and cannot do physically, including claiming he could outbox 99% of podcasters. So the one insult that actually lands is not about the attack, it is about the takedown looking sloppy.
The real story
An on-stage attack is the kind of thing that can flatten a run of dates. Gomez turned it into a weekend promo inside of one post, then spent the next day workshopping it. Our read is that the survivor line is him getting out in front of the story before anybody else gets to frame it, which is also why the TMZ note reads as a punchline rather than a headline.
What the posts do not tell you is anything about the person who came at him, what happened after, or whether the rest of the weekend went ahead as planned. Gomez has not said. What he has said, repeatedly and with video, is that he is fine and that tickets are still available.
