Sam Morril keeps posting clips from Incorrect

Three words, one clip, and the Netflix title again.

Sam Morril is still working the promo shift for his Netflix hour Incorrect. His latest post is three words long. "She's all yours," with a clip attached and the special's name and platform underneath.

That is the whole post. No thread, no caption essay, no screenshot of a chart. A line, a microphone emoji, the title, Netflix, done.

The slow victory lap

The hour has been up for about a week now, and Morril has not stopped nudging people toward it. He already thanked everyone for watching a few days back. This is the same campaign, just chopped into smaller pieces.

It is a very Morril way to sell something. Most comics with a new special on the biggest streamer on earth run a full press tour, podcast by podcast, with a different clip every morning. Morril posts a bit, says almost nothing, and lets the joke do the asking.

Why it works

The clips are the pitch. Pick a chunk of the hour, put it out, let people decide if they want the other fifty something minutes. If the bit lands, the special sells itself. If it does not, he has lost three words.

There is also the simple math of streaming. A special does not open like a movie, it drifts. People find it on a Tuesday, three weeks late, because someone sent them a clip. Which means the promo window is not a weekend, it is however long the comic is willing to keep posting. Morril is clearly willing.

So the reading is not complicated. He likes this hour, and he is going to keep quietly shoving pieces of it into your feed until you watch the thing. No countdown, no stunt, no fight with another comic to get attention. Just another clip, another short line, another reminder of where to find it.

If you have been meaning to get to Incorrect, he is not going to let you forget it exists.
