Skankfest X hits New Orleans November 13 to 15
The tenth edition of the festival has a date, a city and a sponsor, and the promo is already rolling.
Skankfest X is happening November 13 to 15 in New Orleans, presented by YoKratom. The festival's own account, @skankfestnyc, put out the dates along with a clip of @gomezcomedy doing the inviting.
The wording is doing exactly what you would expect from this festival. @gomezcomedy is described as "summoning you to this years biggest party", which is less a lineup announcement and more a dare.
The trash gets taken out
The other half of the pitch is footage. @skankfestnyc also posted a clip of @areyougarbage from last year's edition, framed as the duo "taking out the trash at last years Skankfest", with the same November 13 to 15 New Orleans dates attached.
taking out the trash at last years Skankfest!
That is the whole strategy so far. No names beyond the ones in the promos, no schedule, no set times. Just a city, three days, a sponsor and video evidence that the previous one was a good time.
Why the X matters
This is the tenth edition, which is the one detail that changes how the announcement reads. A festival that started as a scrappy alternative to the polished club circuit has made it to double digits and is now marching into New Orleans with a kratom brand on the banner. That is a specific kind of milestone.
The New Orleans move is also the second time the city has come up in comedy circles recently. Sam Morril spent an episode of Your Mom's House describing getting cuffed there and having cops read his joke notebook, which we covered earlier. Different trip, same town, and a reasonable preview of the kind of weekend Skankfest tends to produce.
For now, the only confirmed facts are the ones in the posts. Skankfest X, presented by YoKratom, November 13 to 15, New Orleans. Everything else, including who is actually on it, is still coming.
is summoning you to this years biggest party!
