Three special plugs landed in the same stretch, and none of them came from a platform.
Stavros Halkias posted a clip from his special with a line about the police and a straight instruction under it. Watch UNCLE STAV now on Netflix. The setup in the clip is that the boys in blue are up to some kooky stuff these days, which is all the pitch he bothered with.

Minutes later, Luis J. Gomez did the same job for someone else. He posted that Landau's special is incredible and told people to give it a watch. No qualifiers, no ranking, no joke on the end.
That is the part worth clocking. Gomez is not a man who softens his opinions in public, and his timeline is usually where an argument is happening rather than a recommendation. A flat cosign from him reads louder than most.
Are You Garbage joined in
Are You Garbage posted a clip with the caption about hibachi hot dogs and told people to go watch the new spesh, signing off with love youse. The post does not name the special it is pointing at, so take it as a nudge rather than a specific title. The podcast did put out its own American Garbage special earlier, though the post itself does not say that is the one.
Comics are the marketing now
Three plugs in one stretch, all of them comedian to audience with no platform campaign attached. Halkias is doing his own clip pull for a Netflix release. Gomez is spending his own reach on a special that is not his. Are You Garbage is using a food bit as the hook and trusting people to click through.
None of this is new, exactly, but the shape of it is worth noticing. The route from a special existing to a fan actually pressing play now runs through whoever the fan already follows. A clip with a funny line on top and a title underneath does more than a billboard, and a one line cosign from a comic who is famously hard to please does more than either.
