No thread, no setup post, no screenshot of a review, no five minute clip of him talking on somebody else's show. Just the line, posted as the line, the way people used to use the site before every account turned into a promo feed.
Two jokes, two different engines
The first one is the classic Normand move, a phrase everybody has heard a thousand times with one word swapped so the whole thing falls over. Nobody says second responders because nobody thinks about them, and now you cannot stop thinking about them. It is seven words and it does not need a punchline after it, because the punchline is the premise.
The second is a pun and Normand does not pretend otherwise. Naan binary is the kind of joke that gets a groan in a club and a screenshot online, and it is built to be read rather than heard, which is why it lives on a timeline instead of in a set. Either you got it instantly or you said it out loud to yourself to get there.

The real story
Most comics use their accounts as a distribution arm now, clipping podcasts and flagging tour announcements, and the jokes get squeezed out by the business. Normand is one of the few still writing for the feed itself, and the two lines this week were the format doing exactly what it is supposed to do. Nothing happened. Nobody got into a fight. A guy wrote two jokes and put them where people could read them, which is somehow the rarer thing.
